Developing and Implementing a Portable Emissions Measurement System (PEMS) for Automotive
The IAG-ng OFS is the first OBD FTIR system that is sufficiently light and compact to be mounted on a passenger car's tow ball. Advanced shock absorbing allows continuous data collection even on rough road surfaces. Like all FTIR systems, the OFS is able to simultaneously detect a great number of species like NH3, N2O, Formaldehyde, water, different hydrocarbons and sulphur compounds. Equipped with the latest low pressure calibrations and based on the MKS 2030 Rev.G spectrometer its accuracy and dynamics is identical to standard IAG-ng FTIR benches. Join our expert, IAG-nG GmbH CEO/CTO Rainer Pokorny, as he gives an overview of the design and capabilities of this system, including information concerning the present and future EPA and EU requirements.

Principles of Vacuum Measurement
Pressure is a key parameter in all modern vacuum-based production processes. This webinar provides you with an overview of the various approaches to measure pressure down to 14 orders of magnitude and more below ambient pressure, followed by a discussion of the two principle ways to measure vacuum - Direct and Indirect pressure measurement. MKS Baratron® capacitance manometers are highly accurate and repeatable, insensitive to gas composition, compact, and easily interfaced with most process tools. Take a look at this again. The Baratron is a direct pressure measurement product. Granville Phillips products are indirect pressure. I wouldn't specifically call out out the Baratron if this covers both direct and indirect pressure.

FTIR Analysis of Li-ion Battery Fire Testing
Li-ion batteries are finding many uses in today’s consumer technology and, because of this, battery fire testing has become important for the development of safe designs for consumer batteries. FTIR is a powerful analytical tool for the analysis of the gases emitted from Li-ion batteries during a thermal runaway and fire event. FTIR spectroscopy can simultaneously and accurately measure the concentrations of multiple gases emitted during a thermal runaway event in real time. MKS Instruments' MultiGas™ FTIR Gas Analyzer is ideally suited to the application of Li-ion battery fire testing as it provides high time resolution measurements of either diluted or undiluted sample gases through the flexible selection of a variety of gas cells and detectors. The MultiGas™ Analyzer features a battery testing application package specific to the analysis of Li-ion battery fires that requires minimal user input for accurate and repeatable measurements.
